Extending Our Mission to Educate and Serve

Saint Bridget Catholic School’s commitment to excellence does not stop at the end of the school day. We are dedicated to providing a program of growth and discovery outside of regular school hours. The curriculum, structure, and activities of our After-School Program focus on continued growth in maturity, compassion, empathy, and respect for self and others.

The Saint Bridget Catholic School After-School Program is fully licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Department of Social Services. Headed by an experienced director, the daily program operates within Saint Bridget Catholic School. The on-site location is convenient for students and parents, and also allows students to remain in the safe, familiar environment of their own school.

The theme-based curriculum includes exposure to academic, social, and spiritual topics. A homework period, nutritional snack, and a choice of both indoor and outdoor activities are part of our daily routine.

The After-School Program offers childcare based on pre-arranged, prepaid attendance. Due to COVID restrictions, there is no “drop-in only” option this year.

Hours of Operation:

Normal hours of operation are from 2:50PM to 6:00PM, Monday through Friday

Basic Rates and Payment Policies:

The cost for the program is determined by the number of days a student attends:

$100/week for 5 days, $85/week for 4 days, $75/week for 3 days, $50/week for 2 days, $30/week for 1 day

There is no multi-child discount.

Families are to pre-pay by Wednesday of the week prior to attendance. The first payment is due Wednesday, August 19, 2020. All payments will be made through the FACTS system. If a family does not prepay, the student(s) will not be able to attend the forthcoming week. Failure to prepay on three occasions will cause the family’s contract to be revoked.

Closures – Holidays/Inclement Weather/Early Releases:

Families will not be charged for days the school is scheduled to be closed (for example Labor Day), but there will be no refunds for emergency closings (for example, snow days). There is no additional charge for early release days.

Illness:

There will be no refunds for days a student does not attend due to student absence.

Contractual Changes:

Any request to change the contracted number of days are to be directed to Laura D. Clift, EdD., Principal, (lclift@saintbridget.org).
