Why should I choose Saint Bridget School for my child?

Is financial aid available and how/when do I apply?
Yes, need-based tuition assistance is available from both the school and the Diocese of Richmond. You may apply by March 1st for the upcoming school year. All applications for tuition assistance are made online at www.factsmgt.com. Just complete the application and submit the required documentation. What are the School Hours and do you have buses?
Elementary school hours are from 8:00 am – 2:50 p.m. Middle School hours are from 7:50 a.m – 2:40 p.m. There are some days we have an early dismissal at noon or 1:30 p.m. After school care is available until 6:00 pm most days. We do not bus students to and from their homes, however, we have a bus for after school activities and transportation between the elementary campus and the middle school campus.
Do you have to be Catholic to apply to Saint Bridget School?
Saint Bridget Catholic School welcomes all families. We are a parish-based school, however, you do not need to be Catholic. Our school provides a faith-based curriculum and community which both Catholic and non-Catholic families desire for their children.
What grades do you have?
We offer Junior Kindergarten through 8th grade. To be eligible for our Junior Kindergarten program your child needs to be four by September 30. Likewise, to be eligible for our Kindergarten program your child needs to be five by September 30th for the current school year.
What are your students’ opportunities for high school?
About 40% of our students matriculate to Saint Gertrude High School or Benedictine College Preparatory. The balance of our graduates will attend the area private schools, Governor’s schools and public high schools, both general diploma and specialty centers. The Class of 2018 entered into 17 High Schools!
Do you have resources classes for a child that needs extra help and/or advanced classes for those who are above grade level?
Yes, we have three teachers on staff to assist children who learn differently. We offer enrichment activities in Kindergarten – 5th grade. Middle school students have the opportunity to graduate with high school credits in Algebra I, Geometry, World History I, Earth Science and Spanish.
Do you have Full-Day Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten?
Yes! The Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten hours are the same as the other grades.
