St. Bridget School’s commitment to excellence doesn’t stop at the end of the school day. We are committed to providing a program of growth and discovery outside regular school hours. The curriculum, structure, and activities of our After School Program focus on continued growth in maturity, compassion, empathy, and respect for the self and others.
The St. Bridget After School Program is fully licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Department of Social Services. Headed by an experienced director, the daily program operates within the St. Bridget School. The on-site location is convenient for students and parents, and also allows students to remain in the safe, familiar environment of their own school.
The theme-based curriculum explores academic, social, and spiritual topics. A homework period, nutritional snack, and a choice of both indoor and outdoor activities are also included.
St. Bridget After School Program is available to any currently enrolled student who registers for the program, and is open every day from dismissal until 6:00 p.m. The After School Program follows the school calendar. For example, the program will be closed on days that school is not in session as well as on the half-days before holidays such as Christmas. For an additional fee the program is usually open extended hours on “clerical” days when St. Bridget dismisses at 12:00 noon.
To register your child for the After School Program, please contact the school office for a registration packet. All children must be PRE-REGISTERED in order to regularly attend the After School Program. The pre-registration process takes one full day from the time of registration until your child is eligible to attend the program. St. Bridget After School Program begins on the first full day of each school year. Registrations are accepted throughout the school year.

Please note: In the event that a child attends fewer than 5 days, the daily rate will be applied. Fees should be paid on Friday for that week’s attendance. If you need to request an alternate payment schedule, please contact the Program Director or the School Finance Office.

The After School program will offer extended hours on “clerical” days as announced by the director. Care is offered 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. The children bring their own lunch and the usual afternoon snack is offered.

$5.00 per child for every 15 minutes late or portion thereof past the close of the program (6:00 pm).
After School staff are employed until 6:00 p.m. You are requested to respect the time of closure. The late fee is paid directly to the employees who have stayed with your child until your arrival.
